David Mitchell and Robert Webb are set to reprise their roles as helpless Mark and Jez in a ninth series of the cult Channel 4 programme.
The last in the series, season eight, aired in December 2012.
Original screenwriters Jesse Armstrong and Sam Bain will return for the new episodes, after confirming the ninth series will be the end of the show.
Speaking to The Radio Times, Bain sparked the chance of a reunion show later down the line:
"We don’t plan to kill them off so the opportunity to do more would be there if we chose to."
Last year, Mitchell spoke about the show’s natural end, commenting on the age of the lead characters Mark and Jez:
"They're getting older, you know, and they're a bit old to be sharing a flat together. It's always been heightened reality, but it's always been a credible reality on Peep Show and I think if it got to a stage where people were saying, 'I don't understand why these people are cohabiting', then it would've jumped the shark.
"So I think we've got to contemplate the possibility of it winding down. But who knows, 20 years later, they might come back together in old age."
