He got a short shrift…
You’ve heard a lot about Tinder, but Plenty of Fish is also a hugely popular dating website and app among people in Ireland and the world over.
POF has over 90 million registered users globally and reportedly has 55,000 new sign ups every day.
It works using an algorithm which, in theory, will match you with a person with similar interests to yourself. But we all know things don’t always go to plan.
Step forward, Samantha Ni Bhroin from Tallaght, Dublin.
She was using the app recently when she received this rather enticing (not really) message from one of her matches.
“I know this is a long shot and I don’t normally do things like this but, I was wondering if you would be interested in something very different lol.
“I will be flying back to the ISA on Saturday morning. I will be staying in a nice Hotel by the airport this evening.
“I was wondering if you would like to take part in a Romantic Fantasy.
“Two attractive strangers meeting in a Hotel Bar. No pressure, no stress of a second date, No HeartBreak, No Drama. Just a night we will remember for a very long time 🙂
“What do you think?”
Needless to say, Samantha wasn’t exactly enamoured with the proposal.
“I’ve hear this story before, by the time the cleaning lady finds my body you’re not even on the continent. No charges, no court case, no justice.”
No chance, mate.
