Boris Johnson has unveiled the latest sculpture which proudly takes its place on a plinth in Trafalgar Square, a very large blue cock.
Hahn/Cock, which was designed and built by Katharina Fritsch, was designed to poke fun at the male statues which dominate the Square, according to the Guardian. She commented: "Humour is always a big thing for me. It stops things from becoming too severe. I like English humour. It is so often very dark."
Fritsch added: "It is a feminist sculpture, since it is I who am doing something active here – I, a woman, am depicting something male. Historically it has always been the other way around. Now we are changing the roles. And a lot of men are enjoying that."
We certainly won't miss it anyway!
