There's nothing we love more than a good old inter-species animal friendship and this one is definitely up there.
Meet Nzhou, a 46-year-old elephant who has been adopted by a herd of buffalo. The wonderful elephant was accepted by the buffalo after her parents were killed by ivory hunters, according to the Metro.
Nzhou and the herd are residents of the Imire Black Rhino and Wildlife Conservation.
Judy Travers from the Zimbabwe wildlife park said: "Nzhou is the matriarch of the entire farm but she chooses to spend her time with the buffalo. We have tried to reintroduce her to the elephant herd on the farm but she’s really happy where she is."
