This (potential) new sex toy could make your orgasms more intense

What could be better?

It seems like every day a new sex toy appears on the market.

From vibrators, to eggs, to classic dildos, everyone’s claiming that their product can give you the best orgasm of your life.

Then there’s the non-conventional sex toys currently available that are almost making the classics seem outdated. Think dual vibrators, bullets that could easily be mistaken for jewellery, and the “tingletip electric toothbrush” – which is definitely a sex toy and not just a regular toothbrush, probably.

It’s no secret that there’s a lot to chose from, but researchers are now saying that there’s a device that has the power to give women incredibly intense orgasms by doing one specific thing – applying pressure inside of the vagina.

The wonders of the aptly named Vaginal Pressure Inducer were discovered when a group of researchers got together to work out how and why some women experience discomfort during sex.

During these studies, remote controlled balloons are usually expanded inside of the vagina, but as they have a tendency to slip out of the body it was decided that the balloons would be filled with water and inserted instead.

Thus, the Vaginal Pressure Inducer was born.

The (potential) toy was tested on women who do not experience any discomfort during sex, and researchers found that many of the participants experienced increased arousal while watching what the study calls an “explicit sexual film.”

While the women were able to stop the remote controlled pressure any time they wanted, the study found that the more erotic the film, the longer the women wanted the balloon to continue expanding.

Many of the participants also said that they felt “significantly higher” levels of arousal using the device than they did without it.

Although not all of the women reported increased arousal, the researchers are looking into turning the device into a sex toy which is, of course, great news.

Author of the study, Reinhilde Melles, told the International Business Times that commercialising the product would definitely be worth it to further investigate the link between vaginal pressure and pleasure.

“It would be also possible to use it to increase the pleasurableness of sex. And maybe also to learn how women can have an orgasm during penetrative sex. About a third of women are able to have an orgasm during sex, but many more would like it.”
