When future generations look back on 2017, what will they pinpoint as its defining moments and crazes? Well, if they're struggling to narrow down what exactly to cover in the 2017 episode of Reeling In The Years, they'd do worse than to look at the biggest porn trends of the year. The lovely folks at PornHub have lifted the lid on what we were all searching for in 2017 and it's like a time capsule. One of the search trends that defined the year, they said, was fidget spinner-themed porn. Another year-defining porn trend? ASMR. Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR) is the "trance-like feeling" that "exposure to certain stimuli like the sound of whispering or watching someone brush their hair triggers," according to PornHub, and it's something a lot of porn users got into last year. Worriyingly, Rick and Morty also proved popular in the porn world last year, as did cheerleaders and porn for women, perhaps indicating that lady viewers are on the rise or just that we're becoming more demanding. As well as these 'defining trends', PornHub also revealed its most popular searches and they're a little more predictable.
