About time too.
Have you ever come face-to-face with a person’s body that is totally spot, stretch mark, and fat-free?
No, of course you haven’t, because it doesn’t exist.
Well okay, maybe it does, but it’s certainly not achievable (or even possible) for the majority of people in this world.
Which is why popular clothing brands stopping photoshopping the likes of stretch marks out of their models’ photos is such a big deal.
It shows that our bodies are rarely perfect and that even the things we may sometimes perceive as imperfections are really just… normal.
ASOS has already been praised online for their decision not to edit out their models’ stretch marks and now, Missguided have decided to do the same.
And their choice that has not gone unnoticed by shoppers online.
How refreshing to actually see genuine un-edited photos of female models. Well done @Missguided I'm SO proud of the message this conveys x pic.twitter.com/EBedySfz6I
