She is in the news everyday and we know every inch of her enviable body as a result of her constant bikini photoshoots and twitter-picture uploading... but we are promised to see a side to Rihanna we have never seen before very soon.
Rihanna has joined Oprah on her famous tell-all couch as part of the talk show hostess's 'Next Chapter' series and the episode is due to be broadcast in the US next weekend.
If you thought Oprah would allow the chat to be light-hearted and friendly, you have it wrong.
Oprah presents Rihanna with the tough questions and the world-famous singer reveals all about her relationship with Chris Brown, her friendships and what it is really like to be famous.
The singer resorts to tears during the interview as she admits she was embarrassed and humiliated after Chris Brown's 2009 physical assault.
“I lost my best friend because of it, I was so fragile, it was a dark, dark time for me,” she says.
Rihanna also tells Oprah she is “super-duper” afraid of the pedastal that comes with fame.
Another part of the teaser clip for the upcoming show shows Oprah exclaim, “Wow! You shock me!”
The two women have become friends in the past few months and Rihanna even brought Oprah on a recent trip around her hometown in Barbados.
We are intrigued as to what Rihanna will have to say about her recent cruise holiday in the Med, and why she met up with Chris Brown.
The show promises to reveal all and is broadcasted on American television channel, OWN, on August 19th.
Also, stay tuned on Tuesday night for the first episode of Rihanna's 'Styled To Rock' show.
