Blarney Castle in Cork is one of the most famous historical landmarks in the country having been built almost six hundred years ago.
For that reason, it is also a very popular tourist destination and something which (if you haven’t already) you have to see.
As well as the castle itself, the Blarney Stone is an attraction in itself not least as it is said to bestow the gift of eloquence to those who kiss it.
There are also plenty walks you can take in and around the castle or you could alternatively drive along the coastline or through the mountains.
Before heading off on your road trip, be sure to do your research and, if needs be, book accommodation in advance.
