The radio station have denied the reports.

This morning, RTÉ 2FM were forced to deny rumours that their star presenter and host of the breakfast chat show, Ryan Tubridy, would be making a move from 2FM to RTÉ Radio 1.

According to the Irish Independent, there have been rumours that Tubridy will make a move to Ronan Collins slot on RTÉ Radio 1.

The Tubridy Show has seen another drop in listeners off the latest JNLR book. 15,000 less people have tuned into the show while Nicky Byrne and Jenny Greene’s slot currently have 1,000 more listeners in the next slot following the Tubridy Show.

However, 2FM have been keen to deny any rumours of Tubridy making a move from the station. 2fm boss Dan Healy said: “Ryan’s ratings are still strong. Shows in a three-hour slot always perform stronger than those in a two-hour slot. That’s why Nicky is ahead. We still have total faith in Ryan as a broadcaster.”

The following statement was also issued from the 2FM account.

Interestingly, 2FM have not confirmed if Ryan will move from his slot on the actual station. They have just confirmed he is still part of the Autumn programme.
