Never mind the iPhone 8, it’s all about the ‘iPhone X’ now.
According to reports, Apple is planning to completely overhaul the device to coincide with the ten-year anniversary of the iPhone.
Following on from previous launches, you would expect the 7s to be the next launch from the tech giant but industry insiders forecast the ‘X’ will completely revolutionise what we’ve come to expect from Apple.
What’s the ‘X’ all about?
Apparently, and for now, it’s all conjecture, the X will include a wraparound screen, a front-facing camera, facial recognition, an all-glass design and a fingerprint scanner, according to Tech Radar.
Oh, and in a major revamp, the new model won’t have a Home button. It remains to be seen how that one will work exactly, but let’s embrace the change.
There’s also talk of a ‘flexible display’ that could be folded and unfolded thanks to a built-in sensor.
Wow.
It all sounds completely bonkers at the minute but very exciting too. If you’re hoping to upgrade later in the year, this might be one to watch.
This just gave me a headache… it’s the iPhone 8, but it’s called iPhone X because it’s the 10th anniversary? pic.twitter.com/BIyKEBfeen
