The search for missing woman, Peggy Mangan, has ended in heartbreak this evening after a body, which is believed to be that of Mrs. Mangan, was discovered in a field beside Ikea.
According to the Irish Independent, the discovery was made shortly after 4pm this evening. Mrs. Mangan's King Charles Casper was believed to have been found standing over the body.
The search has now been called off for Mrs. Mangan.
Mrs. Mangan, who was suffering from Alzheimer's, had left her home in Terenure on Tuesday morning to walk her dog, but had not been seen since.

A search was conducted by both Gardai and volunteers around the area of Finglas. It is believed Mrs. Mangan was last spotted walking her dog about 11pm in the area.
The area where the body was found has been cordoned off and police have informed the family of Mrs. Mangan.
Her son Jon had given heartfelt thanks to all of the volunteers who had helped with the search. Over 150 volunteers had taken part in the search, many of whom stopped passing traffic on the motorway near where the body was found as a mark of respect.
“I know my mother would appreciate it and my family absolutely appreciates it,” Jon said. “The community support out here has been nothing short of spectacular.”
An Garda Síochána have yet to confirm any information. A statement is expected to be released later this evening.
