Buy a few lunchboxes
We can't count the amount of times we've had healthy leftovers from dinner and great plans to bring them to work, only to find there isn't a lunchbox in the house. The leftovers go in the bin and we end up with a hot chicken roll... again. Invest in a good stash and things will be SO much easier.
Try a three-hour diet
This might sound ridiculous but bear with us. The Her team know we don't have the inclination or the willpower to deprive ourselves of food so instead, we allow ourselves a nice lunch and then do a 'three hour diet' - which basically means no snacking between meals. Three hours is an achievable amount of time and if you count up the calories, we're saving from crisps, cupcakes and chocolate - we're practically being saints!
Get a vitamin fix
If you're not something who is naturally drawn to salads and stir-fries, it can be tough to get in your five a day. Try a smoothie or juice in the morning for a quick fix of all the good stuff.
Set yourself some goals
If your attempts to overhaul your lifestyle are all pain and no pleasure, they're not going to last for long. Give yourself an incentive such as a reward at the end of the week (pizza for dinner, a night out with the girls, a cinema treat blowout) and at least you'll have something to think about in those moments of temptation.
Do the maths
There is nothing in this life that will put you off a bar of chocolate quicker than realising how long you'll have to spend on the treadmill to work it off. Mars Bar = over an hour. Worth it? Nah.
Find yourself a partner
You're a lot more likely to stick to the plan if someone is holding you accountable. If your partner in crime just sent you a Snapchat of her healthy porridge, you'll think twice about letting the side down with those sausage rolls. Also, heading to the gym is way more appealing when there's a gossip to look forward to!
