2. The first woman that Elvis had an on-screen kiss with became a nun.
Mother Dolores Hart, yes Mother, entered a convent barely any time after she shared her frist onscreen kiss with the King of Rock N Roll. Hard to believe Elvis had this effect on anyone...
3. Elvis was fired from one of his first jobs.
Elvis worked at a movie theatre but was fired when someone ratted him out for getting free candy off the concession lady. He started young! In a few years, Elvis wouldn't care about THAT particular job.
4. His hair dye of choice was Clairol.
Yes, unfortunately, we hate to admit it but Elvis would dye his hair as most movie stars would have in his day. Presley chose Miss Clairol 51 D, “Black Velvet” every single time. Apparently Elvis once used black shoe polish for hair dye.
5. He told the President off about his clothes.
President Nixon told Elvis that he thought he dressed kind of strange.
“You dress kind of strange, don’t you?” Nixon said, to which Presley responded, “Well, Mr. President, you got your show, and I got mine.”
The meeting was actually secret until a couple of years ago.
6. Presley loved to impersonate police officers.
Apparently for his 36th birthday, Presley treated himself to some police equipment. He would drive around pretending he was a cop and pulling people over but instead of giving people tickets, he would hand over autographs.
7. "OK, I won't."
Presley reportedly fell asleep on the toilet quite a bit and apparently reassured his girlfriend Ginger Alden that this would not happen again. The last words he uttered were: "OK I won't."
