The Fault in Our Stars actress was arrested for trespassing.
Actress Shailene Woodley, best known for her role in The Fault in Our Stars, was arrested for trespassing on Monday after she was peacefully protesting the Dakota Access Pipeline.
The controversial Dakota Access Pipeline Project aims to build a pipeline which will enable domestically produced light sweet crude oil from North Dakota to reach refining markets.
A lot people are against this construction as they argue that the land it is being built on is sacred to the Sioux people of Standing rock reservation.
Shailene began posting on social media about her plans to protest and used Facebook Live to document the day. She later said that she was tragetted for arrest due to being well known and because she was streaming to over 44,000 people.
