The Irish language is making a comeback with folk all over the country doing their best to save our native tongue. In 2012, boxer and sports personality Bernard Dunne embarked on an ambitious nationwide campaign to inspire people to re-engage with the Irish language and many other well-known faces followed suit.
When one man received his post, he made a discovery that he wasn’t best pleased with.
A letter, which was addressed to him as gaeilge, had been scribbled out and replaced with the English equivalent.
Feidhlim Seoighe took to his Twitter account to express his disappointment in the country’s postal service.

The postal stamp shows that the letter had been sent to Seoighe from Co. Dublin on September 17th.
The man accompanied the picture with “Mo náire An Post” – shame on An Post.
