Síle Seoige has had a tough year but she has also learned a lot including the fact that she wants to focus on radio rather than television.
The presenter has said that she isn’t keen on going back to TV work after everything she has been through.
Earlier this year she revealed that she had been fighting cancer for six months and had to have surgery to remove her thyroid.

Síle told the Irish Daily Mirror that she has decided to focus on her Newstalk radio show: “I’m really happy concentrating on radio at the moment and that’s kind of where my energy is.”
But this doesn’t mean the end of seeing her as she explains the radio studio does have webcams and she still has to make an effort with her appearance.
“With radio you kind of think you can come in wearing your PJs. Then you have webcams in studio so you can’t really get away with it,” said the Gaeilgeoir.

The Seoige sisters, Síle and Gráinne, who both work in the media.
As well as her love for radio Síle said that the experience has also taught her about herself: “I feel really good. It’s been an eye-opening year but I wouldn’t change it for a second. It gave me time to reflect on myself.
“Getting a shock like I did tends to give you a kick. It makes you look at your life. It’s been a blessing. I feel very fortunate and I’m appreciating things a lot more,” she added.
