Over the years, we have all spent some time in libraries for one reason or another. The silence, the books, the atmosphere, we all love the library for a variety of different reasons. Here are six reasons why it's one of our favourite places.
1. Enjoy the Silence
Everyone likes to get away from the world from time to time and libraries are the best place to do that. Not only can you enjoy the quiet surroundings but you can disappear into another world through the power of a book. Enjoy that silence.
2. The Books are Free
Sure, we would all like to drop down to our local bookstore on a weekly basis and buy all of the books we like, but often our cents won't stretch that far. Fear not, in the library the books are free! Basically, we should be going the library more often.

3. Study Buddies
Let's be fair, if you needed to cram for that test or that project, you could often be found in the library late with your study buddy. Be honest, it was a lot more fun that you pretended.
4. Learning
Everyone has an interest, a hobby, something they are incredibly intrigued by, whether it's Sweet Valley High or the Easter Rising, we are all interested in something. Forget the internet, go pick up a book.

5. Location
If you're lucky, your local, school or college library may just be the most beautiful building in town. If you are really lucky, it may look like the Long Room in Trinity. Soak in that atmosphere!
6. That Hidden Gem
Think back and remember a time before you depended solely on your smart phone. Remember that moment when you picked up a book in the library, that you would never have come across unless you were exploring? That was the moment you found the greatest love of your life; your favourite book.
