This week, Vogue (presenter, DJ, and avid gym bunny) teamed up with Jenni Murphy - a world champion body builder and personal trainer who recently returned to athletics, helping us gals to get into the groove of strength training.
To begin with, the focus is on the bodyweight squat. It involves learning all the different components of a squat and learning how to position ourselves correctly. So it’s important to remember it’s a quad exercise (not a bum exercise) as we engage the correct muscles.
Then it’s on to the box squat, again, ensuring we use our quads (and not our lower back) to drive out of a negative position.
Then we have the back squat using a bar bell on our back, implementing what we’ve seen in parts one and two. Watch the full video on Her Instagram and be sure to try these out.
