Not quite an Irish coffee, but nearly.

With the days getting colder, we can’t help but start to look forward to all the perks of the winter months.

The odd Irish coffee is definitely one of them.

Well, Starbucks seems to have picked up on the popularity of the strong coffee and are releasing their own version.

The Whiskey Barrel-Aged Cold Brew is their attempt and capturing the flavours of an Irish coffee in one of their white cups.

However, don’t get excited thinking that your Starbucks will give you a serious buzz, the latest addition to their menu is strictly non-alcoholic.

The coffee beans are stored in empty oak barrels that once held whiskey so they soak up the flavour.

The beans are then roasted which kills all traces of alcohol without killing the taste.

Starbucks recommends customers enjoy the drink “straight up” or with a dash of vanilla syrup for added sweetness.

If by now you are just dying for a hot cup, we hate to break it to you that the whiskey-flavoured coffee is currently only available in the US.

However, who knows what popular demand could do.
