Study says this physical trait means your partner is more likely to cheat

physical trait

Well…

As with most studies of this nature, we’ll take them with a pinch of salt but there’s no denying that they pique interest nonetheless.

This new research, courtesy of a journal entitled Archives of Sexual Behaviour, says that there’s a certain physical trait that can indicate if your other half is more likely to cheat.

This particular study specifically relates to men rather than women and it has established that males with a higher face width to height ratio, also referred to as FWHR, are more inclined to be unfaithful when in a relationship.

As the journal explains, ‘the facial width-to-height ratio predicts sex drive, sociosexuality, and intended infidelity’ and although it does sound a little bizarre, we’re intrigued to find how researchers came to this conclusion.

The study involved two separate experiments with the first asking 146 heterosexual students, both males and females, to complete a questionnaire concentrating on sex drive.

The second focused on a larger group, 314 people to be precise with 43 percent of them males and according to Mind Body Green, the study measured their face width-to-height ratio and then questioned them about their sex lives and attitudes to monogamy.

Eventually, the conclusion drawn was that men with higher face width-to-height ratios were significantly more likely to cheat on their partners.
