According to a new survey, women who are married drink more than single, divorced or widowed women.
The research, conducted by the University of Cincinnati, found that women drink more alcohol after walking down the aisle.

The research sheds light on the drinking habits of married women.
In contrast their other male halves drink less after tying the knot however on the whole, men still drink more than women.
Professor Corinne Reczek explained that the findings of the US study reflected on the influence a partner can have on your drinking habits.
She said that women increase their alcohol intake and men limit theirs slightly because of their spouses.
