And especially if you get nice weather during the summer, your guests will be delighted to cool down with a 99 or an ice-pop.
Plenty of Irish companies offer this service and can arrive at the church, following the ceremony, or park up outside the venue.
It's My Party, who have been in the ice-cream business for 30 years, says that the addition of a surprise ice cream van for your guests adds a touch of nostalgia and brings out the younger side in everyone as they can enjoy childhood favourites such as 99's, sundaes, sweet boats or oyster delight.
It also makes for great photos if the bridal party hop on board for a photo.
