A night of blissful sleep is the balm that soothes and restores us after a busy week. If only us mamas could get any, eh? Dunboyne Castle’s new 'Bedtime Bliss' package has been designed to encourage the perfect, uninterrupted sleep.
Nestled in 21 acres of lush green countryside in the historic heart of Meath, Dunboyne Castle is a stylishly restored Georgian house with contemporary wings. This sophisticated hotel with both modern and classic elements, is the ideal location to bring your mum (or yourself) for a relaxing escape.
The hotel's gorgeous Seoid Spa boasts a hydrotherapy pool, a crystal steam room, a herb sauna and laconium which you avail of before indulging in 85 minutes of pure bliss with the signature 'Restorative Sleep Ritual' treatment. The treatment is designed to evoke a state of peacefulness and includes a full body massage using Hawaiian and Balinese massage techniques, coupled with an energising facial cleanse. With meditation techniques, rose quartz crystals and organic products, restoration for exhausted mums is guaranteed.
The package is available from €175 per person and includes overnight accommodation with eye mask, lavender bath salts, and Voya chamomile tea, in a luxurious room. The Restorative Sleep Ritual treatment comes with complimentary access to the thermal suite.
2. The Swing Cats at Number Twenty Two
More in need of a night out than a day in a bathrobe? We've got just the thing. The new heart of Irish culture in Dublin can be found nestled behind the blue door of Number Twenty Two, South Anne Street. If your mum is of a certain vintage she might remember the venue, which is located just off Grafton Street, as iconic music venue McGonagles.
The magnificent theatre at Number Twenty Two now hosts eclectic performances and cultural events while offering guests the opportunity to feast and drink from a menu themed to the various shows on offer. The Library Bar serves yummy cocktails, drinks and bar bites all day.
This Mother's Day, award-winning vocalist Luke Thomas and his band The Swing Cats will perform the music of Louis Armstrong, Fred Astaire, The Rat Pack, Michael Buble and more. With two number one iTunes albums under their belt and a string of headline shows all across Europe including Germany, Monaco, Luxembourg and the UK, this is sure to be a performance perfect for the day that's in it.
