Seventy-two per cent of men opt for names like Hercules or Troy but there are some funny ones in there too, including "Russell the Muscle".

The survey, conducted by menswear brand Jacamo, found that in many cases, 55 per cent in fact, the man's partner has decided on the name.
It was also established that with a fifth of those surveyed, the name was given within two weeks of dating.
