Being assertive is being able to stand up for yourself and speak your mind in a clear and respectful way. We let what we want go unsaid because we worry too much about being rude. There’s a clear difference between being rude and assertive.
The three key tips are to know what you want, believe you have a right to it and finding the courage and mode to express it. It will take practice but it will be worth it.
