We’ve all been there. Under the influence of alcohol, we’ve all sent or been the recipient of a slightly regrettable drunk text (or two).
Whether it’s making contact with an ex, sending a message that was meant for a friend to your parents, or adding an acquaintance on Facebook in the early hours of the morning… we’ve all had some *trouble* with our phones on a night out.
Irish student Claire, however, has surpassed the sending of all drunk texts while out at the student races in Leopardstown last week.
Claire’s email to her lecturer ‘Susan’ excusing herself from class the following day gave us a great laugh, because as far as excuses go, it was extremely patriotic.
The email in question made its way onto the Internet, thanks to Claire’s sympathetic friend Jess.
We can almost feel the dreaded ‘fear’ from here.
We can only assume Claire was feeling her extremely patriotic following the Easter commemorations and sincerely hope that lecturer Susan can find it in her heart to understand.
