Target’s Halloween advertising campaign has been receiving a lot of attention, and for all the right reasons.
The ad, which showcases their Halloween costume offering, features a little girl with braces and crutches dressed as Elsa from Frozen.
The inclusive ad has prompted many disability advocates to take to social media in praise, celebrating Target’s decision to represent a more diverse image of society.
One mum was particularly excited by the chain’s decision, and took to Facebook to express her delight.
Jen Spickenagel Kroll wrote: “Dear Target. I love you. Thank you for including a child with braces and arm crutches into your advertising campaign! My daughter (with arm crutches and prosthetic legs) is going to FLIP when she sees this.”
Others soon followed suit on Twitter.

So @Target featured a girl with a disability on their Halloween ad. As a person with a disability who used to model, this makes me so happy!

Target has since responded to the message of support, saying that their advertising team “tries hard to include all of our guests”.
