Dublin teacher shares heartwarming note she got from a pupil in her primary school class

This is just too cute

It’s important to feel valued at your job every now and again.

For all the time we spend working and slogging away at our careers, it can be easy to lose sight of the real reason we started in our particular professions.

For some of us, that means we’ve always had a passion for writing, others have wanted to sing for as long as they can remember, and for others, their dream is teaching.

For teacher, Lisa Maire, her dream was always to teach and following a long path as told to us by her sister Kim, Lisa succeeded in getting her dream job teaching in September 2016.

Working in St. Michael’s school in Ballyfermot (where she originally attended as a child), Lisa received an adorable letter from one of her pupils.

Reading the note, it really goes to show how much we have to thank teachers for and how much more appreciation should be shown in future.

The touching letter (accompanied by the gift of a necklace) shows just how good of a teacher Ms Bates is.

I dare you to read this letter and NOT tear up.

“To Ms Bates

Because of you I have learned a lot this year. because of you we were able to do st bridget and all the other plays. Because of you we are going to have a great communion.

You are the best teacher we ever had so thank you.”

Thanks to Lisa Maire for sending this in. Do you have any heartwarming stories to tell us? If you have something you’d like to share with us, get us on Twitter here, on Facebook here or you can drop a line to [email protected].
