Gaga for Queen 

This week we headed to the 02 for the opening night of We Will Rock You. This stomping musical features 24 tunes from rock legends Queen, and we loved it. Worth going to see for the actress who plays Scaramouche alone (she’s amazing), it’s playing at the 02 again Friday night and Saturday night, and there’s also a matinee on Saturday. Oh you little Teaser…

We may have had more of these than the picture suggests…

Our resident chocoholics welcomed the news this week that a new Teaser bar is on the shelves. Now no need to be so sad when those bunnies disappear after Easter!

  

Crafty Drinkers

We saved them for the weekend… Ahem. The Craft Collection is a range of premium craft beers launched earlier this week. You can find out more, and see some top tips for tasting craft beers, here.

 

 

Cruise Control

This week I fulfilled one of my lifetime dreams when I met film megastar Tom Cruise who was, as you may well know, at The Savoy cinema in Dublin for the premiere of his new film Oblivion. For years I have watched him with awe on the big screen so you can imagine my (and my mum’s) excitement when he was literally an arm’s length away. Not only was he as handsome as you would expect but he was also incredibly charming and very humble. Let’s just say he lived up to expectations and my week, no make that my year, was well and truly made!

Greek Gods 

Versace launched their first male fragrance in five years this month, and it smells delicious…"Eros is truly the DNA of the house of Versace", explained Donatella. "We have a Greek motive making us think about ancient Greece, antiquities and mythology, while turquoise color represents the Mediterranean. That is Versace!" All we’re saying is Versace smells GOOD and we’ll be buying it for himself. Also, you should see the advert. Meet Brian. You’re welcome.

 

Sweet like chocolate… 

Lily O’Brien’s got a makeover, and we got some samples to check out. Yum. The luxury Irish chocolate brand has been given a stylish makeover with a new look and a new taste. We can confirm – they look great. They taste even better.

 

Graham Norton 

We love this Cork man every week of the year, but this week he celebrated his 50^th birthday so we felt the need to celebrate with a look back at some of his best moments. Then Anita Foy of Anita Caricatures sent us in this cool caricature of the beloved broadcaster!

 

Pizza and a tipple 

Southern Comfort and Dominos Pizza have paired up for a deal whereby you’ll get yourself a free Dominos Pizza when you buy a 700ml bottle of Southern Comfort from certain retailers. We tried both. Yes to this.

 

 

Nice Wheels…

Our girl Denise is currently driving this baby, so the rest of us have been begging her for lifts all week. Review to come next week, for now all she’s saying is that she wants to keep it…
