Yes, our Dads may not be very talkative but there are certainly a lot of phrases they like to use on an almost daily basis. Over the years, we have definitely heard quite a few of these. Here are ten things we always hear our Dads say.
. "Your Mother is looking for you..."
I don't understand, can she not use the phone?
2. "No, I'm not giving you a lift"
You signed up for the lifts when you decided to have a baby... Eighteen years of lifts.
3. "No"
Just... No.
4. "What is that you are wearing?"
Clothes. I am wearing clothes.
5. "Who are you texting?"
My friend, Jason.
6. "Girls are never just friends with boys..."
Sure, Dad. Sure.
7. "What did your last maid die of? Exhaustion?"
It's just because you were passing by that table so I thought you might bring the book on your way...
8. "HOW much?"
They are new shoes! They only cost €200! That's a bargain for these!
9. "Throw on the kettle there."
Dad, it's seriously 28 degrees out there.
10. "Leave me alone!"
But you promised! You promised we would get take-out and you would drive me there and pay for it and then collect me and bring me home and let me go to the shop on the way home and lend me your phone so I can call my friends and then bring me to the bus in the morning and collect my friend on the way and then bring me home again.
