Backing up Glenn's advice is Teresa Liu-Ambrose, who's in charge of physical activity, mobility, and cognitive neuroscience at the Univeristy of British Columbia.
Teresa has reviewed Glenn's research and she agrees, saying that it becomes even more important to reduce bright light at night as you become older.
"In your 20s you might have gotten away with it. When you're older, you have to be a little more diligent about providing that stimuli at the most appropriate time".While it might be hard to factor in a couple of hours wearing sunglasses before bed, there's definitely something to be said for reducing bright lights at night.
