A new creation has put a novel twist on a game that, let’s face it, can become quite boring for doggy-owners.

Playing fetch is always fun for the first moments before we tire of it, but this ball will mean you’ll be chasing the dog with it for laughs alone.

The Rogz Grinz ball, designed by Porky Hefer, features large grinning teeth so when the dog runs back with the ball, he will also greet his owner with a warm, toothy grin.

Created by South African based company Rogz, the Grinz ball can even be stuffed full of a dog's favourite treats, making sure even the laziest of mongrels will want to chase the toy.

A spokesman for the company said, “Wait until you throw one of these new balls for Fido! Bounce, fetch, treat, we've done it all. Tails will be wagging uncontrollably and excitement will be high. Just choose your favourite colour and watch your dog grin.”
