The Driver Theory test is about to get longer for a very important reason

This is great work on behalf of the RSA.

Cathy Donohue

The Driver Theory Test is about to change, for a key reason.

The Road Safety Authority (RSA) have put together seventeen questions in an attempt to clamp down on drink-driving.

Spotted on JOE.ie, the new Theory Test comes into effect from October 10th and two of the seventeen questions will be asked in every test.

The new test comes on the back of a report, conducted by the RSA, that established one in ten Irish motorists have admitted to drink-driving in the last year.

A survey of just under 11,000 motorists in Ireland found that 13 per cent of motorists dais they had driven afdter consuming alcohol within the last 12 months.

This report included some disturbing results including that sixty per cent of Irish motorists don’t know what the correct drink-drive limit is , the permitted Blood Alcohol level of 50mgs and you can get more information on the subject here.

The questions which are listed in full below, accompanied by answers, can be accessed here.
