Louis Walsh and Tulisa Contostavlos could both be on the chopping block as Simon Cowell is currently in talks about shaking up The X Factor panel.
The music mogul is working with ITV bosses to determine who will be on the judging panel for this year’s show and by the sounds of it, Tulisa is gone and Louis could be following her.
Although while the former N-Dubz singer is due to be told within weeks of her fate, Simon is said to be fighting to keep his Irish pal.
Simon is still in charge of who makes the judging panel on the show.
Sources told The Sun newspaper: “Tulisa has been on the panel for two years. She had a good run, but all good things come to an end.”
It seems her poor album sales are a factor in the dismissal: “Quite apart from her performance on last year’s show, you can’t have a singer whose album only reached No35 in the charts sitting in judgement on other singers,”
The insider added that Simon will “fight tooth and nail” to keep Louis: “It hasn’t reached the shouting stage yet – but if it does, Simon is prepared for the fight.”
Last year's judges: Louis, Nicole Sherzinger, Tulisa and Gary Barlow.
Rumours have been swirling since the beginning of the year about what new faces could be joining the talent show which had its worst ever year in 2012.
So far Rita Ora, Robbie Williams, Sharon Osbourne and Mel B have been mentioned although Rita is said to have declined the opportunity and Mel B has reportedly taken up a spot on America’s Got Talent.
Simon has also previously expressed a desire to bring back Nicole Sherzinger while Gary Barlow's position is under discussion.
A spokesman for the show clarified that nothing has been decided: “No formal decisions have been made on the panel for 2013’s X Factor as yet.”
