There’s a rainbow baby movement trending and it is beautiful

Just stunning

A baby following a miscarriage or loss is referred to as a ‘rainbow baby’ – such a beautiful term, after the storm… comes a pretty rainbow to give hope.

The rainbow has become the symbol for parents who have been through a turbulent time on their journey to parenthood.

The topic of miscarriage is not talked about enough, often whispered about instead of spoken – I should know – I’ve had three. And that’s a lot of awkward people not mentioning the actual word, awkward moments surrounding the mere mention of it, and a general feeling that it is still taboo to talk about. It’s NOT!

So to help normalise it, parents are taking to Pinterest and Instagram to spread rainbow baby news, announcing it loud and proud, giving a meaningful nod to the baby that they lost, and will never forget. I’ve chosen just a handful of too-cute ideas to announce a rainbow baby’s imminent arrivel!

On January 31 our angels become big sisters to a beautiful baby boy. We have been waiting for this day for 6 years. The emotions running through me these past few days have been strong and I'm trying to figure them all out the wonderful ones and the new feelings of grief over losing the girls. We are so thankful this little guy made it. It was a nerve racking but wonderful pregnancy. His sisters and the rest of his siblings definitely watched over him and kept him safe till he reached exactly 40 weeks gestation. He will know all about them as he grows. This page will stay dedicated our lost angels and grief and how I continue to figure it all out. Because even though he is here they are not and I still miss them tremendously maybe even more ( if that's even possible) because I now know a little bit more of what we have lost. ?
