THAT Gordon's Pink Gin

Galway and pink gin = match made in heaven.

We got extremely excited about the fact that a pink gin, yes that’s right PINK, was on the way and it landed in Tesco Stores nationwide on September 3rd.

However, we’ve since found out that Galway’s only gin-bar, Tigh Nora, is the first Irish bar/pub/venue to stock THAT Gordon’s pink gin.

There’s no denying that Ireland is experiencing a gin craze of late and now that pink gin is here, we don’t what to do with ourselves at all…it’s almost as exciting as rose gold prosecco.

THAT Gordon's Pink Gin

If you’re wondering what exactly the deal is with Gordon’s pink gin is, the sweetness of raspberries and strawberries balance the refreshing Gordon’s gin, there’s a tang of redcurrant and “only natural fruit flavours are used”.

At the moment, Tigh Nora is serving the gin in three different ways, with tonic, white lemonade, or topped with prosecco and tonic/lemonade to create a spritzer…something tells us the prosecco option will be very popular.

If you’re making it at home though, it’s all about the Gordon’s Pink & Tonic, inspired by the Spanish gin trend FYI, and it’s super easy to make – just pour a measure of gin into a large wine glass with ice, tonic water and a fresh strawberry cut into wedges, DREAMY.

You can buy that Gordon’s pink gin in Tesco right now but if you want the option of trying it while you’re out on the town, Galway is where it’s at.

You won’t get bored either for the people in the know at Tigh Nora tell us there are 130 varieties of gin on the shelves and if you still need some persuasion to pay the city of the Tribes a visit, we’ve outlined a few reasons here.
