Marks and Spencers are amongst our favourite food retailers.
Their cookies, their banana milk, and their Percy Pigs are among food items we frequently covet. Who doesn’t dream of one day completing an entire grocery shop from the noir isles of foodie heaven?
Alas, it seems our dreams have been built on lies.
One Facebook user, Peter Marshall, has revealed a truth about M&S that has left us reeling.
Speaking to The Metro, Peter said, “I was dunking biscuits into hot milk and as the chocolate came away I noticed that the base of one of the biscuits was actually a Custard Cream.
“I’ve always held M&S in quite high regard when it comes to food, and finding out that they were using a more common biscuit as a base was a bit of a shock.”
Peter shared this image to his Instagram as proof of the incident.
We, like the biscuit, are suddenly feeling very exposed.
