This is by far the worst Irish wedding ‘rule’ we’ve ever heard

Laura Holland

If you were shocked by Pippa Middleton’s latest wedding trend, then you’re not going to like this.

In case you missed it, Pippa has reportedly asked her wedding guests to bring a second outfit for the wedding reception. We know, the cheek.

Just when you thought that was bad, there is a lesser known trend in Ireland and it’s by far the worst “rule” for a wedding we’ve ever heard.

Included on the invites is a rule for “no recycled dresses”. That’s right, some brides want their guests to only wear something that hasn’t been worn before. The cheek!

Weddings are expensive enough as it is, without having to fork out for a new outfit.

There is a similar trend to the “no recycled dresses”, where brides are asking that guests refrain from wearing certain brands such as Coast and Karen Millen.

Their reason for doing so is because their bridesmaids are wearing one of those brands. Fair enough, you might not want one of your guests arriving in the exact same dress as your bridesmaids but you cannot rule out an entire brand for that reason.

If you really don’t want people wearing the same dress, then either don’t shop there or tell people the colour and make of the dress and just hope that people have the cop on to avoid that make and colour.
