This mattress app will apparently detect whether your partner is cheating or not

Trust issues much?

Ellen Tannam

A Spain-based mattress company called Durmet have claimed its new mattress is equipped with a system that sends messages to your smartphone to detect if your partner is cheating.

Mashable report that the mattress comes with something called a Lover Detection System, which will alert you to suspicious ‘activity’.

I feel like if you buy this you probably have trust issues already but anyway, it costs $1750 and has a ton of sensors inside the spring system that vibrate when the bed is how you say…in use.

It also picks up on the specifics, analysing duration, impact, and intensity.

Yikes.

Their tagline is ‘If your partner isn’t faithful, at least your mattress is’. Which isn’t entirely comforting if I am honest.

What if your partner is having an affair elsewhere, or secretly enjoys jumping on the bed while you’re out there at Tescos or what have you?

This raises more questions than it answers, frankly.
