This Mayo restaurant has a brilliant answer for the ‘boil water’ warning

We need to visit this place...

Cathy Donohue

We like their thinking.

A boil water notice has been issued for Mayo, affecting an estimated 50,000 people living in Westport, Ballyhaunis, Claremorris, Ballinrobe, Castlebar and the surrounding areas.

The reasons for people needing to boil their water is because traces of Cryptosporidium, a parasite that can lead to Cryptosporidiosis (a respiratory and gastrointestinal illness), has been found in the Lough Mask regional water supply.

This is a bit of an annoyance for the locals affected but one Mayo restaurant has a tongue-in-cheek response.

Spotted on JOE.ie, Castlebar restaurant House of Plates put up the below sign at the weekend which reads:

Fair point well made.
