This Starbucks Hack Could Save You 40% on Your Next Order

Cassie Delaney

A coffee is an integral part of the day but forking out all those hard earned euros gets a bit tiring.

The good people at Spoon University have tried and tested a Starbucks hack that could see you grabbing your coffee and pocketing some extra change.

The iced latte is a favourite of coffee lovers everywhere but as writer Sarah Yanofsky explains, there’s not much to it.

The first step in achieving your cheap coffee is to only order a solo espresso.

Sarah explains it’s much cheaper than a latte and the espresso is basically the main ingredient anyway.

Next, ask the barista for a cup of ice and as for you espresso to be served under ice. Basically, your server will give you an espresso with a load of ice on top.

Next, simply add your own milk. As Spoon University states, when making an iced espresso, the barista will skip steaming the milk, since the drink is going to be cold anyway.

Sure it might take a bit of extra time at the end, but you’re looking at a saving of about 40%.
