There’s a new trend on Tinder and it needs to stop

This is disgusting.

'Fishing' is the latest dating trend and it's probably been done to you

No, no, no.

There is a new trend on Tinder that sees men messaging women with a score they would give them out of 10. So, if they like someone they will give 10/10 and tell them straight out.

These scores are unsolicited and unwanted.

Niamh from the Her team has been at the receiving end of such scores, and although men think women want to see 10/10 sliding into their DMs, it’s quite the opposite.

No woman wants to be judged like this – even if guys are throwing around 10s to every girl they meet. It’s not OK.

Tinder

One guy even went one step further and gave Niamh 11 out of 10.

Again, NOT OK.

Tinder

Niamh makes the point that she would prefer for someone to be completely honest and be a realist rather than anything else. But the ideal scenario would be to not get these messages at all.

These sort of messages might be meant in a very harmless and playful way but they are just disgusting.

Since when do we rate people before we even talk to them? Whatever happened to a polite, “hi, how are you?”
