To The Bus – Eight Signs That It Is A Friday Evening

Friday evening is exceptionally different to any other evening in the week, particularly if you work in an office envoirnment or are in college. Here are eight signs that it is Friday.

1. Everyone is in a good mood

They can’t help it, you are going to have two full days to do whatever you want! And by whatever you want, we mean end up in bed for an entire day for at least one of them.

2. The office empties at about 2.30pm

You’re not sure who mentioned that they had a half day this week but about 3pm you glance around the room only to realise that it is just you and your boss’ PA left.

3. You suddenly have a new lease of life

On Thursday morning, you considered calling sick because you were so bloody tired. God, this week has been exhausting! Wait, what? It’s 5.35pm on a Friday? Let’s go for a mountain hike.

4. There is chocolate as far as the eye can see

It’s THAT day. Sure, you spent the entire week working out and watching what you eat, but today... there are no rules. Eat everything.

5. You are mourning the fact that everyone else has the weekend off

Yes, that’s right. You are one of those enigmas, the weekend worker. God bless you.

6. You make a lot of unreasonable promises

I will hoover the entire house, and read that book, and go on that course, and meet ALL of my friends. I might even fit in coffee with my Mam. Invariably you will end up in...

7. The Pub

Yes, you are in the pub and despite the greatest investigations you are not sure how you ended up here either. You left the office, you even have a pizza and some bits from Penney’s but suddenly you are singing karaoke and downing Jager bombs.
