The situation comedy: a half-hour of problems entirely surrounded by laughter, known better to us as the “sitcom”. The trend hit American television screens in the 1950s and has survived the belly-laughs ever since.
We’ve compiled a list of our top ten funniest comedy sitcoms of all time… the ones we used to love to watch, and the ones we do still watch.
We already have so many we couldn’t fit in, a ‘top ten’ wasn’t enough, next time we’ll have to do a ‘top 100’!
