Ryanair has cut a host of flight routes and reduced frequency of others as part of its plans for 2026.
Many of the decisions come as a result of government and airport operator decisions, with the airline blaming many of their timetable changes on increased taxes and airport charges.
However, it's not just bad news for travellers, as Ryanair is launching a range of new flights this year too.
This includes the launch of new flights from Dublin to Tirana, new flights from Shannon to Rome-Ciampino, Warsaw and Poznan.
The budget airline is slashing three million seats overall, and here's all the locations that are affected.
Balkans
Ryanair are making cuts to frequency on some of their routes to the Balkans. This includes their routes to Bosnia, Croatia and Serbia.
Belgium
Ryanair is cutting services from Charleoi and Brussels Zaventem from April and winter 2026/27, leading to the loss of 20 routes and one million seats.
France
Flights to Brive and Strasbourg are being suspended from early 2026, leading to the loss of 750,000 seats and 25 routes.
However, in good news for travellers, Ryanair is returning to Bergerac airport from summer 2026.
Germany
Ryanair are cutting 800,000 seats in Germany following a dispute with authorities. This includes route closures from Berlin, Cologne, Frankfurt-Hahn, Hamburg and Memmingen.
The airline also says Dortmund, Dresden and Leipzig/Halle are now “closed to its operations.”
Ireland
Ryanair is cutting some flights from Cork airport. This includes flights to Poznań, Gdańsk, and Rome.
The Netherlands
All Ryanair flights to Maastricht / Aachen have been suspended until further notice.
Portugal
Ryanair is closing all of its six flight routes to Azores from the end of March, affecting around 400,000 fliers every year.
Spain
Ryanair are cutting a host of flights to holiday hotspot Spain, leading to a loss of 1.2 million seats.
The airline is reducing its capacity at Santander, The Canaries, and Zaragoza, and significantly scaling back its operations at Santiago de Compostela.
Elsewhere in Spain, Ryanair are halting all flights to Asturias and Vigo.
Flights to Tenerife North have been stopped over the winter, and their base in Jerez will remain closed in 2026 after being closed over the winter. All flights to Valladolid have also been stopped, with that base remaining closed since 2024.
