This type of material allows the heat to spread across the base of the pot and pan ensuring that your food is cooked faster without using excess amounts of energy.

Another thing you can to do be energy efficient in the kitchen is to turn off your oven or your stove when your food is almost ready. By doing this, you’ll be cutting the energy supply (which will save you money in the long run) but the existing heat will still finish your cooking for you, providing you don’t open your oven door.

Finally, when it comes to heating things up on the stove, make sure you match your pot size to the burner on your stove. When you use a small pot on a large burner, you lose so much heat and energy.
