Much like Prosecco, there’s nothing a little glass of Champagne can’t fix.

While we already know it’s a fun party drink and that it tastes delicious and refreshing, it turns out there is a scientifically proven reason we should all drink more of it.

There has been plenty of research about how the drink improves short term memory, how it is good for your heart and even help to prevent dementia.

However this more instant one, is something we haven’t heard before.

If you feel a happy buzz from drinking bubbly, it’s not just because you’re getting a little tipsy. Tran Ky, MD, co-author of The Healing Power of Champagne has stated that it actually improves your mood. This is because it contains trace elements that boost your mood when consumed in moderation.

Spirits are significantly lifted after drinking champers according to the book, and interestingly, pairing it with certain foods is even better.

Eating a meal rich in omega-3 such as fish can boost the positivist further according to author of “French Women Don’t Get Fat Cookbook” Mireille Guiliano.

So if you want to make the most out of your champers, drink it along with a fish-based meal and you’ll be in flying form.
