The UK HMV Twitter account hit the headlines earlier today when staff took it over and tweeted about them losing their jobs.
And now it seems that those in charge have decided to address the issue via the social media site.

These were the tweets from earlier on in the day which have since been deleted.
They began by writing: “Our @hmvtweets picked up a lot of attention today, it’s clearly been a tough day for us all at hmv, please stick with us #hmvxfactorfiring.”
They then went on to explain that one of the people who lost their job got very upset before thanking the public for their continued support.

HMV went into administration in the UK earlier this month with the Irish leg of the music company going into receivership.
