People passing by Bahnhofstrasse, Zurich's main downtown shopping street, were treated to a shop window display with a difference.
Pro Infirmis, an organisation for people with disabilities, devised a campaign to mark 'International Day of Persons with Disabilities'.
Mannequins are traditionally designed to be the 'perfect' shape. Tall, slender, lumps and bumps where they're 'supposed' to be, however this campaign challenges all of that.
Fashion mannequins were replaced with a number of mannequins that have been moulded to the shape and dimensions of people suffering from scoliosis and brittle bone disease.
"Because who is perfect? Get closer," is a thought provoking reflection on the social acceptance of people with disabilities.
Watching each person see their figure unveiled for the first time is extremely poignant, with one woman admitting, "It is special to see yourself like this."
As one comment under the short film states, "imperfect is perfect."
